2013 – an overview

A view for evolving and integrating the pulsations of Kali, Aquarius and the Snake.

This New Year is leaving behind many past expectations about the end of the world. This New Year is, however, charged with different and unique cosmic and atomic pulsations that will make 2013 determining for everyone. These are some ideas to consider and some suggestions to bear in the heart of the mind for the times to come.

The force of Kali Yug: 
This longer age (yug) of the Indian Cosmogony is regarded as a period of approximately 432.000 years. The calculation of when it began and when it finishes has been debated, but the majority of Indian philosophers think that our present times are inserted in this Yug. It is represented as a time when the darkness (ignorance/unawareness/selfishness) prevails over the light (knowledge/awareness/love).

This Yug is our biggest temporal frame and it is affecting us by the decaying of forms and norms, in which Kali (death) is influencing most of the intentions and motivations in our interaction and interplay within humans and between humans. In Kali Yug, only a minority will be able to enjoy the fruits of the spiritual harvest, the political power and the material comfort, whereas the majority will still be devoid of some of the basic necessary conditions to live their life.

Although the ruling forces of Kali are set to be the largest forces affecting the structure of our reality for a few more centuries, the law of polarity is a constant pattern that is always present, keeping the balance in the Universe. There is always an opposite force (latent or active) that brings about equilibrium to the cosmic and atomic pulsations. This assures the Universal Plan that maintains the chance for evolution to be open for all humans.


The force of the Aquarian Age: 
The recently advent of Aquarius brings about another frame within the larger frame of Kali. Many people looked for unprecedented changes of the planetary or the world order. The expectations went far missing to see the Aquarian forces in our near experience. Although in the zodiac Aquarius is an air sign, the Aquarian Age is setting an elementary new order, in which the symbolism of water and its characteristics will become anew. 70 to 80% of the constitution of our physical structure is water (or fluid), and the forces of Aquarius are set to sensitize and enhance our deeper sense, the emotional mind and our devotional character.

Aquarius is a shorter frame of time of about 2000 years which will govern us with a different touch. In the decades to come, the rigidity in the human core will give space for softer encounters. The exclusion of others will soon prove to be socially and politically unbearable. In the coming decades the water will become a more dramatic issue for every country and continent. The inner management of emotions, as well as outer management of the interpersonal relationships, are going to change the sense within every human.

What Aquarius delivers is a chance to cultivate and to water the seed of our deepest human sentiment and our true identity, therefore our chance to express it in its most noble way to recreate the flow, the security, the warmth and the peaceful stillness that one can feel inside of the mother’s womb, but this time in the world at large.


The force of the Snake: 
From February, and for a year, the Chinese calendar celebrates the particular quality delivered by this reptile. The Snake has been symbolized as a spiritual potential (like the Kundalini force) that, when active, manifests the highlights of the human soul, as well as the creative/sexual energy that could also manifest the lowlights of the human corruption and decay.

If in the last years there seemed to be a burst of spiritual-like expressions for facing the “end of the world” or the “New Age”; or if previous years seemed to uncover scandals and low forms of use and misuse of the human sexuality... this year of the Snake will bring much more. It will be a year of profound regeneration (or degeneration) that will surface with the change of skin. The light of true spiritual inspiration of men and women will be noted and will thus enlighten others. We will also see a further trivialization of the sacredness of the creative/sexual energy that will shake the foundation of how we see our co-creative power. Institution will have to update.

All in all, we will have to define if we actively participate in making this world, our surroundings and our families a resemblance of the paradise or a fallen version of it. In this sense, the intuitive capacity of the Snake is very helpful to choose the best path and therefore it will invite us to trust the inner voice and inner guidance of our intuition.


The force of the year 6 (=2+0+1+3): 
Regardless of our belief system, the religion we profess, the spirituality we practice, the master we follow or the philosophy we identify with, the year 2013 is presenting a pulsation of energy which can bring humans closer in Spirit and more effectiveness at setting the cause level of our actions.

The human manifestation of the force of number 6 is “person in prayer” (Yogi Bhajan). This year’s energy calls upon the cross-cultural practice of prayer, which all humans can do and achieve in their own homes. No matter the cultural reference, every man and woman on this planet can have an auspicious opportunity for crystallizing the power of prayer. By praying, which is the very act of opening the chakra of the heart, together with the direction of the mental force of attention, plus the emanation of the bio-energy of the organism, any person can produce a super-charged communication with the Universal Source. This is something that can move mountains.

The special advice for the next 365 days is to walk the path of life with the universal practice of prayer and maintain the practice to construct the platform for an evolutionary leap. Through the benefits of prayer one can stay alert and integrate the parts in one by communicating with the One.
